Trip Facts
Mount Cameroon is located on the western coast of Central Africa, near the Gulf of Guinea. It is situated in the Southwest Region of Cameroon. It is a stratovolcano, characterized by its steep slopes and periodic explosive eruptions. The highest point on Mount Cameroon is the summit known by the locals as “Fako” or “Mongo ma Ndemi,” standing at an elevation of 4,040 meters (13,255 feet).

Day 1: Upper farms-hurt 2
Day 2: hurt 2-summit-Mann’s Spring using ‘’MARUMBA’’ track (very long and difficult)
Day 3: Mann’s Spring-elephant bush
Day 4: further exploration of elephant bush
Day 5: Return to base

–Route B: Mann’s Spring
Day 1: Bokwaongo-Mann’s Spring
Day 2: Mann’s Spring-Summit using the MARUMBA track (very long and difficult)
Day 3: 1999 volcanic eruption site-crater lakes
Day 4: Elephant bush
Day 5: Return to base
