Trip Facts
Mount Cameroon is located on the western coast of Central Africa, near the Gulf of Guinea. It is situated in the Southwest Region of Cameroon. It is a stratovolcano, characterized by its steep slopes and periodic explosive eruptions. The highest point on Mount Cameroon is the summit known by the locals as “Fako” or “Mongo ma Ndemi,” standing at an elevation of 4,040 meters (13,255 feet).
